Recently our team at the MATSA Copper Operations in Spain supported families within their local communities with the donation of educational material for school, as part of Sandfire MATSA’s Magic Box program.
Since the pandemic, the program has moved towards providing digital technology to families to support with accessing on-line classes and study options, who for these individuals would not have the infrastructure without the program.
This year our team donated 30 tablets, distributed amongst different areas within the Huelva province. The Magic Box program reaffirms our commitment towards collaborating with our local communities and ensuring quality and equitable educational opportunities are available.
Together with other companies in the sector, Sandfire MATSA also delivered about 1,100 school agendas for this year, with a focus on mining within the region.
