Meet Leshatho Moshakga,
Leshatho is an Environmental Coordinator at Sandfire’s Motheo Copper Operations. Leshatho is responsible for ensuring that the mine operation complies with statutory obligations, approval requirements, and policies, amongst other duties.
Leshatho says that he has enjoyed his time working at Sandfire, with the role living up to his expectations.
“Throughout the majority of my working years, I have worked as a consulting environmental practitioner overseeing compliance requirements for developers.”
“Now, it’s exciting to be on the other side of the field, implementing the very same requirements I would have asked for in the past. It’s a challenging yet rewarding experience’’.
Outside of work, Leshatho values spending quality time with his family, and his motto is “A delay is not denial, but a time of preparing you for the promise’’.
