Sandfire recently partnered with the Ghanzi Regional Football Association to launch a Grassroots Football Program for children aged 6 to 12.
The program launch took place on the 20th of May at Kgaphamadi Primary School in Ghazi, and attracted attendance from local officials and more than 700 children who enjoyed sharing in the excitement and enjoyment of football.
The Grassroots football program is expected to support the development of the children’s skills, whilst providing a sustainable platform for team building and building on the strong sense of community belonging.
Sandfire, in collaboration with Australian Publisher Paydirt Media and the Bayswater City Soccer Club, donated football kits to the program for both children and adults, including boots, socks, balls and equipment. The donations will help to support the growth, development and progress of the program into the future.
