Sandfire supports the UN’s 16 Days of activism against Gender Based Violence

Recently our team at our Motheo Copper Operations commemorated the United Nation’s 16 Days of activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV), through a local community movement.

The community movement was held at the Bosele Ward in Ghanzi and was aimed at generating community discussion and understanding around Gender-Based Violence, how individuals can support ending GBV and the resources available to those within the community.

The initiative was collaboratively organised by Sandfire, One Track Engineering and the Botswana Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Support Centre, and is part of our commitment to upholding the human rights of our people, the communities in which we operate, those within our supply chains and other stakeholders who interact with our business.

For more information on our commitment, you can view our Human Right’s Policy here.
