In June, the team at @Sandfire MATSA celebrated its first Diversity and Inclusion week as part of the European pride month.
Throughout the week, the team participated in numerous activities aimed at raising awareness for the LGBTIQ+ community and highlighted the actions Sandfire MATSA has taken to ensure an equitable and fair workplace for all.
Some of the activities included transforming MATSA’s mine trucks into visible symbols of diversity and inclusion, with the use of LGBTI+ colours. The team at MATSA also distributed T-shirts to its employees with various messages of inclusion and respect, and provided information on the active measures in place for Sandfire MATSA’s 2023-2027 Equality plan, the LGBTI+ Protocol, and the Action Protocol for Addressing Harassment or Violence against LGBTI+ People.
