Sandfire’s Motheo Operations recognises International Women’s Day

Last week, Sandfire’s Motheo Operations (Motheo) came together to mark International Women’s Day, reflecting on how we can create workplaces where women can thrive, lead and grow.

The team hosted an IWD event with special guest speaker, Basadi Molelekeng, a commercial farmer who shared her story of overcoming gender-based barriers. Her message to attendees was – women shouldn’t just wish for opportunities and equality – they should claim them.

This was followed by a panel discussion, on practical steps for advancing equality and how we can all play a role in supporting women at work and in our communities.
