  • encouraging innovation in the discovery, extraction and processing of mineral resources;
  • dealing ethically, fairly and equitably with stakeholders;
  • meeting or exceeding our Statutory requirements, commitments and obligations;
  • achieving continuous improvement in the management of our risks and opportunities;
  • engaging with our stakeholders to build enduring, long term relationships;
  • contributing to the communities where we operate by supporting local initiatives; and
  • reducing our carbon footprint by actively pursuing opportunities to increase energy efficiency across all aspects of our operations.

Sandfire applies a whole-of-business approach to risk management that consider all categories of risks including health and safety, business, and environmental, social and governance risks.  The Company's risk framework is used to identify, assess, evaluate, treat, monitor and communicate risks.  The framework is aligned with the international standard of risk management, ISO Standard 31000:2009.  The process consists of steps that, when implemented sequentially, effectively identify and manage material risks and enable continuous improvement.
