Sandfire is one of  the largest landholders in the world-class Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales, with 2,100km2 of tenure. The Lachlan Fold Belt is prospective for porphyry copper-gold mineralisation as found at Northparkes (China Moly), Cadia (Newcrest) and Cowal (Evolution). Sandfire’s projects in the region include Marsden South (earning up to 80% from Gold Fields Australasia Pty Ltd); and the 100%-owned Temora, Wingrunner, Wellington North and Bland Creek projects.
